Straight from the runways of Milan and Paris, Stella is here to give you a glimpse into the Fashion Trends of fall-winter 2017/18. Added bonus – our new ‘Haute, Spot or Not’ Column.
A true fashion hit for the cold fall/winter season is the fur hat. Not into fur? no worries, there is lots of faux-fur on the runways…whether Fur or Faux the runways encourage us to wear bright bursts of colours, and not shy away from a combi of colours to add a bit of personal touch and to cure the winter blues.
2. Cosy knits & Padded jackets.
This winter season, the cosy knits have flooded the fashion podiums worldwide.
Add to this the extreme padded jackets and you soon realise that comfort and style have met each other half way to create an especially warm stylish winter effect. According to Vogue Paris, padded blanket-throws create new proportions this winter, so feel free to wrap one around you and feel warm & stylish at the same time.
3. Long Gloves & oversized sleeves.
The long gloves that we adored in past decades are back this year and we simply LOVE them. Since the emphasis this year is also on funky and big sleeves, the long gloves fit in nicely to complete the ageless fashionable look.
4. Hair bands.
Hair accessories are in, and in to stay and keep you warm! with emphasis on leather, fur (Stella prefers faux, of course) velvet or even overly decorated ones with flowers or metal details. Lots to choose from ladies, so accessorise away!
5. Statement Waist Belts.
The bigger the better, bold & chunky big belts are here to accentuate our waists and add a personal statement to our overall look this fall.
6. Bootiez Sleeves.
According to numerous social media influencers & bloggers, the MUST HAVE accessory this fall/winter season is….our very own Bootiez-Sleeves!
According to British Vogues this year it’s all about wearing to sparkle and shine. So try out our ‘shimmering dream’ (faux-leather with a layer of shimmer peaking through the little windows) or the reversible ‘find your inner rock chick’ (denim on one side, studded suede-look on the other), to give your outfit the sparkle and shine British Vogue recommends. Just slip those Bootiez over any shoe you like – and you are ready to go!
